Every time I’ve driven past this water tower on Marion Street I’ve thought to myself how it’d make for an interesting photo.
I finally drove out there this morning with camera in hand. I got a few pictures of the tower silhouetted by the sunrise but I didn’t love how they turned out. This one was taken with the rising sun at my back.
I went for a walk through King’s Park hoping to capture some nice fall colours and at the same time, test out my new lens. I wasn’t entirely happy with the majority of the images I got, but this one turned out well.
The below images were taken during my trip to Chicago. Using a tutorial I found at Tilt-Shift Photography I tried to edit the images so that they look like miniature scale models. With just the right pictures you can get some pretty neat effects. These two may not have been great candidates but it was fun to try regardless. Another tutorial for this sort of manipulation is at best photoshop tutorials.
If I knew anything about flowers I’m sure I’d be able to tell you what kind these are, but I don’t, so I can’t. I just thought they looked nice, so here they are.
These days it’s rare to catch my little girl sitting still. I’m so happy I caught her in this shot though. I love her cute little face.
